Love Don Ceviche! Finally got to try their brick and mortar with after frequenting their Essex Street market spot these past few years and had a great time sampling a bunch of dishes with friends. Really enjoyed the anticuchos and their ceviches are always a hit. Also I don’t know if they have special potatoes or something but I swear they taste different from normal potatoes, texture wise. Or maybe I just don’t know how to pick potatoes? Not sure, but they’re delicious. Anyway, looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu soon!

A true Peruvian gem at Don Ceviche From the moment I walked into Don Ceviche, I felt like I had been transported straight to Peru. The decor, the music, the aromas... everything reminded me of Barranco and those special family meals I miss so much. The ceviche mixto was absolutely spectacular — the freshness of the seafood, the perfect acidity, just the right level of spice, the texture and presentation... everything you dream of when you’re far from home and longing for authentic Peruvian flavors. You can tell they go the extra mile to source the right ingredients, and that’s something I truly appreciate. We also had the lomo saltado, which we ordered with arroz chaufa instead of white rice (for a small extra charge) — totally worth it! The chaufa had that unmistakable homemade taste. The seco a la nortena was exquisite, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We ordered two appetizers, two main dishes, dessert, chicha morada, and Inca Kola — and the total was 120. The quality-to-price ratio was excellent. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive. I would come back a thousand times. Thank you, Don Ceviche, for making me feel at home, far from home.

I got the Seco a la Nortena, Guacamole with Tostones, Inca Cola and Picarones, and wow was it good!! The Seco a la Nortena, had such a perfect balance of flavors, the beans were creamy, the meat was savory, the rice was the the delivery mechanism, and the onion/tomato salsa was the perfect sour topping. I haven't felt so satisfied after a meal in such a long time, and the seco a la nortena ticked off all the boxes. I tried a few fries, and they were so fluffy and crispy at the same time (how?!). The tostones and guacamole, was also very good. The tostones were so fluffy but crispy, and paired with the creamy guacamole, it was perfect. Lastly, we got the picarones, and if youre familar with Korean Food, it tastes similar to hotteok. The inside was goey, and it wasn't cakey/fluffy like I had expected. Also, huge shout out to the waiter/server! He was so nice, and was so careful with my dietary restrictions. The guacamole does have mayo, but if you let them know your restrictions, they will remove it!! It's a small restaurant, but the food is amazing. I can not stop raving about this place. 24 hours later, and I'm still dreaming about their food! Their restroom is also pretty large and clean, and the service was amazing. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I recently visited Don Ceviche and was genuinely impressed by the bold, authentic flavors and friendly atmosphere. I tried the ceviche, arroz con mariscos, and their sangria – and each one delivered a distinct taste of Peru. The ceviche was the star of the show: incredibly fresh, citrusy, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The fish was tender and marinated to perfection, with that signature leche de tigre zing that wakes up your palate. The arroz con mariscos was rich, comforting, and packed with seafood. The rice had a nice bite and was infused with deep flavors, likely from a well-made seafood broth and aji amarillo. Every spoonful had something new—shrimp, squid, mussels—all cooked just right. And the sangria? Refreshing and not overly sweet, with fresh fruit that soaked up the wine and added a nice texture to every sip. It paired beautifully with both dishes. Overall, Don Ceviche delivers an authentic Peruvian experience with heart and flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

A lovely little spot serving authentic Peruvian cuisine. For starters, we had one of the ceviches - refreshing, with just the right hint of spice. For mains, we chose the lomo saltado (I chose prawn and my partner - beef). Both perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The service was good, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you are planning to visit, I would recommend booking a table as the place is small and tends to fill up quickly. We were lucky to walk in and get a table for dinner without a reservation.

Very delicious ceviche, just like at their Essex Market stand. Great vegetarian dishes, too, and we couldn't stop dipping the crunchy, dried corns into their tasty sauces & marinades. The servers were very attentive and polite. Overall a great, Peruvian owned & operated restaurant, which I never hesitate to recommend to my friends.
